10,000+ Square Feet of Sealcoating and Over 22,000 Linear Feet of Precision Striping
Before we could begin sealcoating, the first step was critical: surface preparation. At this Walmart site, existing painted lines had to be removed or hidden.
We media blasted the lot using an iron-type aggregate, achieving approximately 70% removal of the original markings—a standard threshold for visual disappearance. This level of removal ensures the sealcoat and new striping will appear clean and unobstructed.
Once the prep was complete, our crew applied sealcoat across 10,623 square feet of pavement. This protective layer helps block out moisture, UV rays, and automotive fluids that can prematurely wear asphalt—especially in a climate like Saint Clair’s, where snow, rain, and sun all take turns breaking down pavement over time.
With a fresh, uniform blacktop surface, we then executed a comprehensive restriping operation, including:
- 22,950 linear feet of lines
- 23 ADA stencils
- 884.71 square feet of crosswalk hashes
- 40 directional arrows
- 38 stop bars and stop stencils
- 590 linear feet of curb striping
